In the immediate vicinity of the Natur Chalet Piz Aich you will find a number of restaurants and mountain huts where you can stop for a bite to eat. The restaurants serve first-class regional cuisine and Mediterranean delicacies.
Here are just a few of them: Restaurant Falzeben, Restaurant Panorama, Restaurant Sonnenheim, Zuegghütte, Moschwaldalm mountain hut and Waidmannalm mountain hut.
Close to the Piz Aich there are also a variety of options for a vast, regionally-sourced breakfast. Fancy some R&R time with a sauna and swimming pool? That’s another box ticked! Make the most of the spa hotel offers in the area or take a trip to the Terme Merano.
Just a 10-minute walk from our Natur Chalet will take you to the hiking and skiing area of Merano 2000, where you can access the chair lifts, head out on leisurely hikes or speed your way down panoramic ski runs. If you want, you can rent skis and boots at "Erwin Stricker" ski rental, directly at the ski resort.
The Natur Chalet Piz Aich is just a 15-minute drive from the spa town of Merano. The arcades of the old town are a wonderful shopping destination, while the numerous cafes welcome you in to relax and enjoy a Veneziano.
Our tip: Take a stroll along the promenades and breathe in the Alpine-Mediterranean climate, or explore the Botanical Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle.
Spend a relaxing day in the fabulous thermal baths Terme Merano. 25 pools and treatment baths together with countless saunas are on hand to re-energise you, body and soul. The thermal water comes from the nearby Monte San Vigilio; it has a soothing, calming effect on the nervous system and also lowers the blood pressure.
